Mr. Gross plans to give the entire proceeds from the sale to the Smithsonian National Postal Museum.

Our viewers may recall that Mr. Gross put his collection of UK stamps up for sale in June, 2007. The proceeds of $9.1 million were donated to the well known international charity, Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières. Click here to see our special commentary.

It goes without saying that his actions do him great credit. Collectors around the world can only applaud his example of generosity.
